home recording demos from Matt Schmitz.

The Hippie Revolt, inspired by the documentary of the same name along with the plethora of underground cult cinema of the 1960's and early 1970's, is a musical project helmed by Matt Schmitz of the doom/psych band Sleestak. Taking totally far out samples from these films about drugs and the occult, he injects them into a set of mostly instrumental songs ranging in sound from the psychedelic Haight Ashbury love-in scene to the downtuned sludge of early proto and prog metal.
